The famous New Year's Eve ball will begin its 60-second descent from the One Times Square flagpole on Dec. 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET

For the first time ever, New York’s venerable New Year’s Eve ball drop, a Times Square event that’s taken place every year since 1907, will happen twice in a single year.

The Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball will light up in a red, white, and blue "America250" design and rise above illuminated “2026” numerals.
