Camera club members capture pictures of Wolf supermoon 2026
The first full moon of 2026 appeared in the sky on Friday, January 2. The supermoon, known as the Wolf Moon, was captured in photos by Bucks Free Press Camera Club members. Images show it rising above the county in the night, as well as its setting on Saturday morning.
The "wolf" supermoon was visible across Suffolk overnight with people on hand to capture the rare event. One Ipswich resident was able to spot the supermoon on Saturday morning prior to when experts suggested it would be at it's peak. It was the first supermoon of the year, with the next one not expected until the end of the year.
